Launched in Spring 2022, our Black Writers Initiative is dedicated to creating new opportunities tailored to support Black students in our programs. This initiative aims to increase the number of Black and African American students we serve, fostering a space where their voices and stories can thrive. As part of this effort, we’ve partnered with the Black Student Achievement Program at Venice High School, providing workshops, mentorship, and writing projects that empower students to express themselves confidently and creatively.
