Draw Amazing Tigers Workshop with Drawing for the Planet
On Saturday, November 9th, 826LA partnered with professional artist and founder of Drawing for the Planet Jane Lee McCracken to present an illustration workshop at the writing center in Mar Vista for students of all ages, focused specifically on teaching students how to draw wild animals.
Drawing for the Planet works closely with international wildlife charity Born Free, and Jane and her team brought their distinctly refreshing and optimistic message of wildlife conservation to a packed room of students during the three-hour workshop. These young artists ate pizza while using their newfound techniques to recreate some of nature’s most dazzling denizens, from cobras to parakeets.
Their finished artwork is now published on the Drawing for the Planet website, and showcases an impressive range of styles and skills. 826LA supports the preservation of these creatures and their habitats, and looks forward to growing its partnership with Jane and Drawing for the Planet while they continue to bring their message to student artists worldwide.
