Thank You, Kate Micucci and The Odenkirks!

We’re lucky to have some funny friends supporting the work of 826LA throughout Los Angeles. On behalf of everyone—staff, volunteers, students, and parents alike—826LA would like to thank Kate Micucci and Naomi & Bob Odenkirk for allowing our organization to be the beneficiary of some of their creative projects in the past. The funds made and donated to 826LA play a crucial role in continuing to provide free writing and tutoring programs for Los Angeles students.

In late 2018, Kate Micucci invited the public to an art exhibit at Gallery 1988, where she sold her own art pieces to benefit 826LA, and this wasn’t the first time!

Kate then kicked off the New Year giving her time to perform at this year’s Not  Inappropriate Show, a live comedy show at the UCB Theater suitable for the whole family!

Enter Naomi and Bob Odenkirk, who have been putting on this show for the past 6 years. The proceeds of this event have been donated to 826LA and entertained many Los Angeles families in the process. The Odenkirks join their cast of friends including, Cate Scott Campbell, Drew Tarver, Harrison Lampert, Johnno Wilson, Madi Goff, and Warren Burk for a wholesome, good time.

We’re grateful to these friends of 826LA for sharing their time, creativity, and proceeds with us. Make sure to join us next holiday season for The Not Inappropriate Show‘s 7th year!
