Currently, Mariana attends Cal State LA for Social Work. Upon graduation she hopes to work with the LA County Department of Children and Family Services, advocating for children in foster care. Yesenia is eager to put into practice all that she has learned through her creative writing career! As an 826LA Intern and a graduate of CSUSB, she feels confident in her ability to inspire enthusiasm about writing. Lily Reiner

In 2015, Lily graduated with a degree in English from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon. She briefly worked for a TV show’s writers room before coming to intern at 826LA in September of 2016. She’s now on board as a Summer Associate for ELL Camp and is excited to spend the summer working with the students and helping them create crazy, creative stories. And for the field trip to Nickelodeon too, of course. In her spare time, you can find Lily buying too many books at Skylight bookstore, bowling, or cooking dishes with eggs as their centerpiece.

Frances Iadarola

Frances is a junior at Oberlin College in Northeast Ohio. She is currently working towards her B.A. in Comparative American Studies. Born and raised in LA she comes home every chance she gets. This summer she will be working at 826LA as a Summer Associate for our ELL camp and can’t wait to get to know all the students. In her free time Frances loves cooking for her family and having barbecues with her friends. After this summer she will be living in Buenos Aires, Argentina for 6 months to improve her Spanish and study social activism and public policy in Latin America.
