Join us on September 24th as we gather in support of 826LA’s free education programs for Los Angeles students. Hosted by Reza Azlan and Jessica Jackley, this intimate afternoon affair will open a non-partisan conversation about family values, community connectivity, and the importance of writing in sharing our stories and values.

Reza Azlan is the author of upcoming release God: A Human History, a commentator, professor, producer for The Leftovers (HBO), Of Kings and Prophets (ABC), and Believer (CNN), and co-host of a new podcast called “Raising Spiritual Children.”

Jessica Jackley is the author of CLAY WATER BRICK: Finding Inspirations from Entrepreneurs Who Do the Most with the Least, the co-founder of KIVA, the world’s first p2p microlending website, and co-host of a new podcast called “Raising Spiritual Children.”

826LA Young Authors are from the 2017 Young Authors’ Book Project When the Moon is Up. Students from Locke High School depict the modern lives of youth in transformative stories full of responsibility, family, loss, and courage.
