Mar Vista Workshop: And the Oscar Goes to…

September 30, 2017 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 1:00 pm on Saturday, repeating until October 15, 2017

Students in this workshop will be ages 10 and up.

Do you have the PERFECT idea for Hollywood’s next blockbuster? This workshop will teach students everything they need to start writing and transform their idea into a real screenplay. Over the course of 3 weeks, each student will write his or her own short script and take home a printed and bound screenplay, ready-to-shoot. Before we know it, we might be seeing their writing on the big screen!

This workshop will be led by Grant Singer. A former 826 student, Grant Singer returns to lead his second workshop on his favorite subject: movies! A recent graduate of USC’s film school, Grant is an aspiring writer/director who is excited to share his love of writing for screen with the next generation of storytellers.
