Shop the re-launched Time Travel Mart website today!

If you were checking our site regularly last week, you probably noticed that our one-of-a-kind, didn’t-know-you-needed-it store got a good old Hollywood facelift! The shopping link at the very top-right of your view of this website will take you to a store that looks snazzier than ever. Welcome to The Echo Park Time Travel Mart’s new online retail space!

We can’t show enough appreciation to longtime collaborator Stefan Bucher, of http://344design.com, who has always shown the utmost generosity with his creative talent and has been integral to the development of a beautiful virtual version of the brick-and-mortar store (which he also played a huge role in creating). And we owe a huge thanks to web designer Megan Woo, whose donated time and talent let us develop a site that will bring our products into the Internet Age.

We turn to 826LA intern extraordinaire Lauren Humphrey for the rest of this post:

Do you find yourself surrounded by a white-flocked flurry of wish lists, gift receipts, and long lines? The holidays don’t need to be a time fraught with stress-induced parking space battles and store-to-store frenzies. This time of year should be spent with family, friends, and a good book (or three)!

Is it possible to have a relaxing, festive time, full of unique presents, social good will, and support for a great cause? With the re-launch of The Echo Park Time Travel Mart’s new online store, yes!

Still stumped? How about a Robot Toupee for your balding uncle? A bottle of Famous Last Words for your historian sister? A jar of Dodo Chow for your cryptozoologist cousin?

There are more traditional gifts, too, should you not want to show up your entire family, from beautifully designed posters touting the splendor of Pangaea to books of stories by 826LA’s after-school tutoring students. (We even have holiday cards, if you still need to scratch out a few!) The Echo Park Time Travel Mart’s online store has a gift for every person on your list at budget-friendly prices, and, to make your smile a little wider, all of the proceeds go to support the programming at 826LA. One-of-a-kind gifts that help your community? It can’t get better than that. Though you should remember to pick up some Barbarian Repellant to keep your holidays plunder-free.
