For the month of April we’re highlighting Kenia, a senior at Manual Arts High School who was published in our 2017 chapbook, Rhythm Runs Through Our Veins, as a ninth-grader.

Three years later, she attended our 10th Annual Great Los Angeles Personal Statement Weekend, ready to work towards her dreams.

Now, she has been accepted into UCLA, her dream school!

From seeking out help to ensure she writes the best personal statement she can, to her impressively long list of extracurriculars, we’ve seen Kenia work diligently at everything she sets her mind to.

We’re excited to hear about her new goals and adventures as she embarks on this new chapter in her life.

Congratulations, Kenia!
